The Role
The Yacht Captain is the supreme authority on board, blending master-level maritime skill with the refined service expected in the 5-star luxury sector. Beyond safe navigation and technical management, the Captain is the face of the vessel, ensuring an atmosphere of absolute safety, discretion, and world-class hospitality. We are seeking licensed maritime leaders who command respect through their expertise and professional poise.
 

Core Responsibilities
Command & Navigation:
Absolute responsibility for the safe navigation, piloting, and operation of the vessel in all sea conditions, adhering to international maritime laws.
 

Technical Oversight:
Overseeing the maintenance, engineering systems, and seaworthiness of the yacht, ensuring all safety equipment and certifications are current.
 

Guest Experience & Itinerary Planning:
Collaborating with owners or guests to curate bespoke maritime itineraries, ensuring access to the world’s most exclusive moorings and destinations.
 

Crew Leadership:
Directing, training, and mentoring a multi-disciplinary crew (Deck, Engineering, and Interior) to maintain 5-star service standards at all times.
 

Financial & Legal Management:
Managing the vessel’s operational budget, customs clearances, and port documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
 

Professional Profile
Certification:
Master Mariner / MCA Master (Yachts) 500gt or 3000gt (or equivalent national certification) with all relevant STCW and GMDSS endorsements.
 

Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Captain or First Officer on yachts exceeding 30m, with a proven track record of safe passages.
 

Maritime Diplomacy:
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm, decisive manner.
 

Communication:
Command-level English is required; proficiency in languages relevant to the Mediterranean, Red Sea, or Indian Ocean is highly valued.
 

Integrity:
A steadfast commitment to maritime safety, environmental protection, and guest confidentiality.
