The Role:
The Head Host/Hostess is the "Director of First Impressions" and the primary orchestrator of the dining room’s energy. You do not just manage a door; you manage the reputation of the venue. We are seeking a high-caliber leader who possesses the social intelligence to handle complex seating hierarchies, the technical skill to optimize restaurant flow, and the grace to lead a team of hosts under the pressure of a 5-star service.
Core Responsibilities
Floor Leadership:
Lead and mentor the hosting team, ensuring every guest greeting, seating, and farewell is executed with absolute precision and brand-aligned warmth.
Strategic Seating & Flow:
Oversee the master reservation book, strategically assigning tables to balance the kitchen’s workload while satisfying high-profile guest preferences.
VIP & Royal Protocol:
Manage the arrival and seating of VVIPs, Royal family members, and celebrities with the appropriate level of discretion, security awareness, and etiquette.
Complaint Resolution:
Act as the first point of contact for guest grievances at the door, utilizing exceptional diplomacy to turn challenging situations into positive experiences.
Revenue & Pacing Optimization:
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to monitor table turn-times and pacing, ensuring maximum occupancy without compromising the luxury guest journey.
Professional Profile
Experience:
3–5 years in a premium hosting or guest relations role, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or "Head" capacity within a 5-star environment.
Command of Presence:
A natural leader with a commanding yet welcoming presence and the ability to influence the "vibe" of the room instantly.
Advanced Systems Knowledge:
Expert-level proficiency in high-end reservation software and the ability to train others on digital floor management.
Exceptional Communication:
Sophisticated English fluency is required; the ability to communicate in multiple languages (especially Arabic) is highly prized for this leadership role.
Conflict De-escalation:
Proven ability to handle high-pressure door situations (fully booked nights, walk-ins, VIP demands) with unwavering professional calm.
